Hello my dear friends, it has been so long since I have had a chance to write anything. I miss it. School has really taken up all my time, and now that the semester is over I can write...

First, I am really excited to let you all know that I have been asked by a dear friend, mentor and confidant Christa Thompson to be part the Wild and Wise Women Retreat team. I am honoured and excited to be part of a amazing team of women. The event is in Princeton, BC, Canada, on February 25-27, 2011 at RockRidge Canyon. The venue is nestled in the beautiful rocky mountains, where anyone can retreat. We have amazing events, speakers and door prizes for guests.

Who are Wild and Wise Women - Women who are the ultimate study in contradiction which balance daily life with brilliance and grace. We are mother, sisters, daughters, lovers, and much more. More roles than we can count with friendships that have been forged through fire, sealed with trust, and will last through eternity with the kind of love only a woman can give....So..yes, we are Wild and Wise.

With tattoos and investment portfolios, passions and practicality, dreams and secrets, high heels shoes and running shoes, we are committed to making the world a better place and are willing to take a risk. We are seeking a circle..a community we can belong to...a safe haven where we can trust...where we can grow...where we can share our wisdom and go a little wild.

We welcome women of all life-journeys, and we know that an investment in Wild and Wise Women comes full circle every time..

Okay I did it...I started a public relations page on facebook. I am excited to be moving in a direction that scares me a bit. That is to create a brand for myself.

I started to do some work with a local band to promote them. It has been slow going, but fun and I am learning.

I have launched a few twitter account for non-profit companies, and keep those up to date.

I will keep you posted for my new website...wish me luck!

Social Media

I am getting out of my comfort zone, and networking with people who enjoy social media. It is one thing for me to say that I am interested in social media and another for me to actually interact with people face to face. I enjoy social media platforms such as;Twitter,Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Although, I like social media I can find my self hiding behind my computer, and not getting out into the world and actually talking to the people. So yesterday, I went to a Social Media Breakfast Club, ,and met some really great people who know how to use social media platforms.

The speaker was Ernest BararicErnest Bararicm and he was fantastic. I really encourage you to go to his website and have a look. He talked about how important it is to engage with your audience, and how to interact. Baracic is a social media consultant and if interested in what he has to say follow him on Twitter

I am sure there are a few people out there who feel the same way that I do! I sometimes get on my computer, and create dialogues with people all over the world, but never leave my house. Joining this group, has given me the courage to get out and enjoy people who enjoy the same things as I do. I am so happy I did it!

Life as a student

Back from studying in Vienna, and I am so happy to be back to school at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta Canada.

Getting back into the school in Canada is quite challenging, as I really enjoyed being in Europe, and learning what living in another country was like. It is much different than just traveling and then coming home after two weeks. Anyways, this semester I am taking a reseach

Why social media brings value

I am working on a research project, and I wonder why social media brings valve to non-profit organizations? Who do they follow? Do they follow other volunteer tweeters..So many questions?

I am working on a project for a non-profit organization. The organization was not really interested in being on twitter. Or facebook for that matter. After a few meeting with the communication manager, I finally convinced her that twitter was a good choice for their company. I actually went live, and then went and showed them what they were missing out on.

Now I am starting to manage their account and I am coming up against these questions. I am studying abroad and I have to work on getting 150 hours of volunteer hours for my degree, and working on this twitter account is how I am going to accomplish my hours.

I really enjoy working with social media but I have many questions and with all the information on the internet it can be overwhelming doing the research.

If anyone has any comments please post them as I am open to all feedback.
